Description

NanoMiix Antimicrobial Guard paint is an advanced low VOC* and low odour interior paint with Anti-Mould, Anti-Bacterial and Anti-Virus properties. Washable, durable, and stain resistant, this paint is ideal for all living areas including bedrooms, family rooms, hallways, kitchens, bathrooms, and laundries.

15 Litres, 4 Litres, 1 Litre, 500mL.

Colours

White, Light, Middle and Strong Bases.

Coverage

Up to 15m2 per litre depending on surface conditions and application technique.

Gloss Level

The finish coat has a gloss level of between 5% - 10% at a 60° viewing angle.

Drying Times

In average weather conditions (25 °C) touch dry in 30 minutes and recoat in 2 hours.

Allow longer drying time in cold or humid weather. Note: Tinted paint darkens as it dries. Full curing of the paint film takes approximately 4 weeks.

Surface Preparation

Ensure the surface is thoroughly clean and dry. If mould is present, treatwith an anti-mould solution and rinse clean with fresh water. Repair cracks and holes with a suitable filler as per the manufacturer’s instructions and dust clean.

New Work

• Paper-faced plasterboard (Gyprock®) Apply 1 coat of Robertson’s 3-Way PSU.
• Cement Render, Brick, Masonry. Allow new cement render to cure for 4 to 6 weeks before painting. Seal the surface with Blitz© ClearSeal. Apply 1 coat of Robertson’s 3-Way PSU.
• Bare Timber, MDF Apply 1 coat of Robertson’s 3-Way PSU. For Tannin Rich Timbers and LOSP Treated Pine, first apply 1 coat of Robertson’s Wood Primer.
• Set Plaster, Plaster glass Apply 1 coat of suitable plaster sealer.

Previously Painted

• Flaking Paint: Remove all loose and flaking paint thoroughly. Seal and bind the surface withBlitz© ClearSeal. Apply 1 coat of 3-Way Robertson’s 3-Way PSU
• Chalky Surface: Powdery surfaces cause poor adhesion. Scrub and wash powdery areas to a firmbase and seal and bind the surface with Blitz® ClearSeal. Apply 1 coat of Robertson’s 3-Way PSU. Do not wash porous surfaces with sugar soap or other detergents.
• Grime & Mould: Wash greasy and dirty surfaces with sugar soap and rinse off thoroughly. If mould is present wash the entire surface with anti-mould solution and rinse off thoroughly.
• Glossy Paint: Lightly sand with fine grade sandpaper to a dull finish, dust off then apply 1 coat of Robertson’s 3-Way PSU. For superior adhesion to oil-based paint, use Blitz® Maxi-Seal or Blitz® Total.
• Surface Stains: Clean the surface thoroughly with sugar soap, thoroughly rinse and allow the surface to dry. Apply Robertson’s Stain Cover for water-based stains. For other stains, Robertson’sPaints recommends Blitz® stain blocking undercoats.

Application

Stir thoroughly and check the colour before commencing. Apply two full even coats by brush, roller (10mm – 12mm nap) or spray gun. Do not apply if the temperature may go below 10°C or above 35°C during the drying time.

Thinning

Thinning is not recommended and generally not necessary but if applying by spray gun or during warmer weather, thin with up to 10% water or acrylic paint conditioner.

Clean Up

Clean equipment with water immediately after use. Do not dispose of paint or paint wash down sinks, drains or sewers. Excess paint should be brushed out on newspaper and left to dry and disposed of through your normal waste service. Recycle dry empty containers with local recycling programs. Safety

Provide adequate ventilation during use and drying time. Keep paint out of reach of children.If swallowed do not induce vomiting, drink plenty of water and seek medical advice. If contact with eyes occurs, rinse thoroughly with running water and seek medical help if irritation persists. Care of New Work

Avoid exposure to steam and condensation for at least 48 hours after painting. The paintwork may be cleaned lightly with a sponge and soapy water after approximately 1week curing time, some short-term lightening of the surface colour may occur.

Manufacturer’s Warranty

This product is guaranteed for 5 years from the date of application to prevent new mould growth when applied according to the information on this label. Warranty is limited to a refund of the purchase price with proof of purchase or the replacement of this product only.

Proof of purchase is required for all claims, and you must bear your own costs in making aclaim. We reserve the right to inspect the affected property.
